Breast Surgeries

If our client is unhappy with the size and shape of the breast, then correction of the same is possible through plastic surgery. The size of the breast may be increased or decreased according to the needs of the client. It is often seen that with advent of age or pregnancy, the breasts tend to sag down. This can be corrected by a procedure called mastopexy

Breast Augmentation

Increase in the size of the breasts can be done by silicon implants. A proper preoperative OPD evaluation is essential to discuss the size, shape and type of implant that may be required. However the implant doesn’t change the shape of the breast. It increases the size only. To change the shape of the breast and to improve the cleavage, an additional procedure of fat grafting may be required in the same surgery as per the already existing shape and the requirements of the client. This is very specifically curated and keeps changing with every client. The fat may be taken from your inner thighs or the love handles in the abdomen.

This surgery is done under General Anaesthesia and will require atleast 1 day of hospital stay. The results are immediately seen following surgery and can be permament. There is minimal downtime and most activities can be resumed very soon. Breast augmentation is a very rewarding surgery with very little chance of any complications.

Breast Reduction

Breast reduction surgery may be indicated in large breasts due to back pain or other symptoms of enlarged breasts or due to the cosmetic concerns of the client. Breast reduction surgery may be combined with breast augmentation or either may be done to treat asymmetry of the breasts.

A thorough preoperative consultation is essential to discuss what needs to be done. The surgery is done under general anaesthesia and hence will require admission for atleast 1-2 days. Following the surgery, there is minimal downtime and most activities can be resumed soon after surgery. Smoking and drinking is prohibited during the perioperative period.

Mastopexy

Mastopexy, also known as breastlift, is a surgery done for the sagging breast. The breasts that have sagged down are restored to their original shape and positions. Breast lift may need to be combined with breast augmentation procedure to get the best results. Breast lift is part of Mommy Makeover along with Tummy tuck and lower body contouring done for mommies to get back in shape following pregnancies.
